Current Project

Move to Protect’s current focus in on the Arctic environment and the climate crisis. In October 2022, creator Alexandra was invited on an arts and science residency, a two week sailing expedition in Svalbard, Norway. During the expedition, MTP filmed for the first part of this project - a series of environmental dance short films each directly speaking to climate change and the fragile Arctic environment.

An extension of this project will also include a future mixed-media live performance piece.

Focus

Immerse oneself in the environment, learn from and experience the essence of the place, and respond. This choreographic expression was filmed and shaped into environmental dance short films depicting various themes and motifs directly related to climate change and Svalbard.
